Business description
Here is an opportunity for an entrepreneur or someone interested in working within the sports/cricket retail industry. Iwan Direct was created in early 2006, this was done as I believed the competition within the market to be low, first in my area and after which, I discovered over the internet this was again the case. Since 2006, a lot of promotion/advertising has been done, which is reflecting in the sales.

At present Iwan-Direct retails cricket equipment direct to consumers via its state of the art, fully customisable website, stock management and full order processing tools. All of which make managing the online part of the business simple, effective and highly flexible. The plan was to also implement catalogues for the next season.

As the business grew, we saw an opportunity to add a house brand as well as selling many leading brands. All of these goods are imported direct from India, which gives us greater margins on these products, they offer us the opportunity to sell great products and a reduced price to our customers, and also offer free advertising with the labelling.

Costs
Our costs are very low, at present the only fixed cost if the insurance on stock, the variable costs are kept low being only the cost of the product, transaction fee and courier charges.

Figures
The business has a great returning customer base, and nearly 2000 registered for our mailing list backs that statement up. This year’s sales revenue is at the £50,000 mark with GP of £20,000.

Stock
The business currently holds £10,000 worth of stock.
Many brands we retail for, dropship items so we do not need to hold stock of their products, as they send direct out to the consumer.

Overall
No cricketing experience is needed and I will be on hand to help for 12months if required. The business has plenty of potential, being one of the biggest cricket retailers in the Southwest at the moment, the hard work has been done in setting up and getting our name around, which offers someone a great return.
