Advent Business Sales are pleased to offer to the market this highly specialised precision engineering company, which has been trading for 15 years, when the current owner established the going concern.

The owner has now decided to retire.

The process involves the use of a brass wire, which has an electrical current applied, which then comes into contact with a piece of material then sparks are generated and the piece of material is then eroded away. Together with this process is a CNC machines control allows intricate shapes to be eroded out of the different types of material.

The process is better known as ‘wire erosion’. Our client is one of the premier sub contract electro discharge machine companies in this special field of precision engineering. The company operates a 24 day, 7 days a week, sub contract wire erosion and solid sink spark erosion to the engineering industry.

The client base consists of mainly blue chip companies within the following sectors:
• Plastic moulding industry
• Aerospace
• Medical engineering
• Oil and gas
• Prevision tool making

The business employs 3 full time technicians (fully trained), who have been with the company for the last, 15, 6 and 2½ years respectively. The directors consist of a husband and wife team, the former deals mainly with customers and the cad/cam programming and the later with the administration duties.

The above wire erosion machines are DNC linked to a Cam programming system.
NC programmes can be produced from engineering drawings or from customers DXF or IGES data. Components can also be digitised to product exact copies.
