The company has expanded from its early beginnings when it focused on spark erosion activities, and now combines this with high precision wire erosion machining processes.
As part of the EDM (Electrical Discharge Machining) procedure, this Company also provide a full range of general engineering and machining services, where necessary.
The skilled workforce has at their disposal a full range of modern equipment, as well as load handling facilities for that extra large or exceptionally heavy work piece.

SERVICES:

Spark Erosion:
Solid sink spark erosion can deliver accuracy between 0.020mm and 0.050mm, often faster, more economically, and with greater guarantees of accuracy than conventional machining techniques. This Company specialise in the manufacture of bespoke electrodes to enable the most complex or awkward of shapes to be processed, allowing to rapid delivery of exactly what the customers require.
A combination of fifteen wire / spark erosion machines are available at their purpose-built South Yorkshire premises where they can accommodate work pieces of up to 4,500 kilos in weight and 1850mm X 1000mm X 650mm in size. Electrodes up to 450 kilos can be used.

Rescue:
Spark erosion is frequently called upon to rescue work pieces, where a drill, tap or other tool has broken and cannot be removed by other methods. The embedded stub can nearly always be removed with precision spark erosion facilities, providing a cost effective alternative to scrapping the work piece.

Wire Erosion:
EDM using wire erosion can deliver accuracy between 0.004mm and 0.040mm faster and more economically, and with greater guarantees of accuracy than conventional machining techniques.
CNC control of five wire machines coupled with sophisticated computer design technology enables the most complex, awkward or three-dimensional and advanced tapered profiles to be processed, allowing this Company to rapidly deliver exactly what the customers require.
Five wire erosion machines are used at the purpose-built South Yorkshire premises and provide capacities for work pieces of up to 2250 kilos and can cut with axis travels of 750mm X 400mm X 405mm tall.

EDM:
This Company can erode all conductive materials from aluminium through to hardened tool steels, and are specialists in processing rare earth, solid carbide and polycrystaline diamond materials.

Mobile:
In addition to the above services, this Company are also actively developing a mobile E.D.M service.
