What it takes to be a Green Motion Franchisee

We cannot stress enough the importance of Green Motion's franchise selection process as it is the franchisees who form the backbone of our entire organisation.

In order to qualify for a Green Motion franchise we would ask you to assess the following points below in line with your own personal attributes.

• You must demonstrate a keen interest in the environment and support our organisation's overall environmental objectives
• While no formal qualifications are required, literacy, numeracy and computer skills are imperative
• You will need to hold a full and clean driving licence (limited points acceptable subject to conviction and status)
• Ideally you should have managerial and sales experience and/or have been self employed
• You will need to be an energetic self-starter with a professional approach to business
•  You must be people orientated with excellent inter personal and communication skills
• You must have a love for working with people and must be capable of gaining and maintaining rapport with your customers
• You must be able to manage others effectively and have above average motivational skills
• You should be a hands on person who can pro-actively market your business, selling yourself, the Green Motion concept and the Green Motion experience
• You need to operate in alignment with Green Motion’s environmental values both in terms of your business and home life
• You must demonstrate entrepreneurial skills yet also show the ability and willingness to be a team player operating within the Green Motion system
• You must show commitment to the brand and have a loyal and consistent character

Prior to the commencement of each franchise location, the Green Motion management and operations team assist the new franchisee with business planning and, where required, gives guidance and makes introductions with regards to general banking and funding facilities.

Vehicle Supply and Fleet Management

Green Motion's fleet team are responsible for arranging all aspects of vehicle supply and ongoing management on behalf of its franchised network.

As a franchisee you will enjoy vehicle supply from some of the world's leading motor manufacturers including Volkswagen, Toyota, Citroen, Honda and Lexus.

IT Systems and Support

Strong communication and systems are at the heart of Green Motion's strategy. In-branch we operate an online system – GreenRes – which is the management tool responsible of the control of the day to day operation of the location in terms of fleet usage, utilisation, customer data and the generation of rental agreements and documentation.

In addition to the GreenRes system each franchisee will enjoy access to our Green Web Office facility – this virtual web office system provides full email management, document storage, diary facilities and access to our marketing and operational guidance.

The Internet

Green Motion Vehicle Rental offers the benefit of a full online and secure transactional facility to both retail and corporate customers allowing them to book, pay for and monitor their reservations online.

In addition to our main global website each location benefits from its own individual local website enabling each specific franchise to advertise the services of its own branch.

Operational Support

To ensure the continued smooth running and development of each Green Motion location our highly experience operational team is on hand to provide support and assistance as and when required.

Each location is monitored centrally, capturing vital operational data including fleet utilisation, vehicle usage, vehicle downtime, income source and revenue.

Central Reservations

Our Central Reservations department is responsible for handling all national corporate account and leisure/retail bookings (domestic and inbound).

Each booking is processed in line with the prevailing terms and conditions and is transmitted directly to each Green Motion location via our GreenRes system.

BVRLA

Green Motion Vehicle Rental is a full member of the British Vehicle Rental and Leasing Association (the BVRLA).

As a Green Motion franchisee your location is automatically covered and you can enjoy the benefits of membership. We ask each individual location to fully support the BVRLA's code of conduct.
