This business has been established for twenty-one years and has traded successfully since its present owner started it.
It mixes and supplies agricultural feedstuffs and fertilisers to a broad range of customers within a fifty-mile radius of its premises in South Wales.
It currently mixes and sells over two thousand five hundred tons of products every year.
Wholesalers deliver their products, which are then stored in clamps. The business then mixes its own batches of feedstuffs that are either collected by the customer where smaller amounts are required or delivered in half-ton bags. Where large orders are required deliveries are sub contracted out to a local haulier with bulk tankers.

Location

The business occupies rented premises on a small agricultural unit. The company is based in South West Wales

Clients

The business services clients all sizes of customers in the farming community and issues in excess of one hundred invoices per month.

Key opportunities

This business is prime for either expansion or as an addition to a business already trading in this market. It is capable of doubling its annual tonnage of product by the effective recruitment of a representative and increasing its profile in farming journals and agricultural shows.

Quality Assurance

Customers rely on this company to provide a consistent level of quality product. If this pattern is broken customers are soon lost and bad news travels fast in this commercial community.

Location:
The rented premises form part of a working farm. There is adequate storage area with holding clamps

Expansion potential:

Growth and Expansion:

The business usually concentrates on supplying to the smaller customers where margins are easier to maintain. There is a significant opportunity to break into the “larger order” market place that would give added volume to the operation and the ability to broaden the range of available products.
Increased tonnage would provide better buying power and help to create a competitive edge to the company.
Support & training:
The proprietor would be very willing to complete a full and seamless hand over to a new owner for a period to be agreed as part of the negotiation process. Having started the business he is very keen to see the business continue to succeed.
